Feng Shui Interior Design master, Jami Lin, is able to use the communication resources of modern technology to counsel people all around the world. Recently, she helped design a home from scratch, in Mexico, as she worked from her studio in Venice, Florida. Using phone calls, video calls, email, and Skype, Jami was able to consult with her client on a regular basis.
Lupita's family had heard great things about Jami and made a special trip to Miami to get started on the design. Subsequent meetings were all done via modern technology.
Starting from scratch with a very restrictive lot, they worked on the architectural floor plan. The couple has four children, each with their own bedroom. All rooms needed good energy, with each person facing his or her best personal, sleeping directions. Specific lifestyle requirements included a traditional bar for socializing, meditation area, game room for the kids, and a home office.
Using Jami's Feng Shui expertise, they created other architectural details, such as teasing the eye to capture a glimpse into the next area. As both positive and negative energies exist in every home, they worked to manipulate traditional Mexican colors to maximize their benefits. Natural light in the interior came through via terraced balconies that also allowed green areas on the upper levels.
